Evaluation – Avaya Vantage K175

Hands-on testing of an all-in-one, Android-based, telephony and personal video conferencing device.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, Avaya is a publicly held (NYSE: AVYA) company specializing in business and unified communications.  The company employs ~ 8,000 people and has a customer base of more than 120,000 companies across more than 175 countries.

In 2018, Avaya released the Avaya Vantage K175, an all-in-one telephony and video conferencing device with an 8” touch display, an HD-camera, a two-element mic array, and wide-band audio support.  In early November 2020, Avaya released the third generation of the Avaya Vantage K175 device, including hardware and software enhancements.  Also, Avaya announced the integration of the Avaya Vantage K175 device with its Avaya Spaces collaboration app and service.

In late November 2020, Avaya commissioned the Recon Research (RR) test team to perform an independent, third-party assessment of the Avaya Vantage K175 device.  This document (PDF version) contains the results of our hands-on testing.
