
Reliance Jio-owned Make in India free video-conferencing platform JioMeet has surpassed 15 million users in India. JioMeet is evolving as a complete platform and has crossed 15 million users in the December quarter, according to Reliance Jio — a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. The Mukesh Ambani-owned telco had posted a net profit of Rs 2,844 crore during the September quarter.
Reliance Jio noted: …”indigenously developed 5G Radio integrated with Jio’s 5G Core Network and 5G Smartphones have achieved over the air throughputs in excess of 1 Gbps. In-house Massive MIMO and indoor 5G small cell are under advanced stages of development.”
JioMeet by Reliance Jio offers enterprise-grade host control and security and can be used for 1:1 video calls and hosting meetings with up to 100 participants. The application was downloaded more than 1,000,000 times on Google Play Store within no time in July last year.
