Our Thoughts and Commentary
MAXHUB’s strategic partnership with Audio Source makes sense. While MAXHUB may be a relative newcomer to the video conferencing space, its parent company, CVTE, is a powerhouse in the professional AV industry – particularly in interactive flat panel displays.
MAXHUB has built a solid lineup of video conferencing products, many of which are priced significantly below competing offerings. However, the company’s primary hurdle has been market awareness. To address this challenge, MAXHUB had several options:
- Invest heavily in marketing campaigns
- Significantly expand its channel management team
- Hire additional direct salespeople and focus on direct outreach
- Collaborate with established reps or distributors to leverage existing reseller networks
MAXHUB chose the last approach, which should offer it almost immediate exposure to Audio Source’s network of resellers in the Pacific Northwest region without significantly adding to MAXHUB’s workload. This should, in theory, allow MAXHUB to focus on growth and market penetration.
Furthermore, given that CVTE reportedly handles MAXHUB’s manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics, the company should have sufficient margins to cover Audio Source’s commissions without raising prices.
