Video conferencing service Zoom to open Phoenix facility

PHOENIX — Video-conferencing service Zoom, which has become a staple as people socially distance during the coronavirus outbreak, announced plans on Thursday for a new research and development center in Phoenix.

The company is planning to hire up to 500 software engineers between the Phoenix site and the other new location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
