Wildix, developer of the first web-based unified communications and collaboration solution, today announced a new release of its Wizyconf video conferencing software. Wizyconf is fully integrated with the Wildix unified communication platform and encompasses mobile, desktop and room-based video conferencing and event hosting capabilities with new features that increase administrative control and simplify meeting hosting and participation.
With Wizyconf, Wildix users can quickly and easily initiate video conferences from the browser-based platform interface. Video conferences now feature displays of every participant’s video stream in tile format, with no upper limit on displayed tiles and include a virtual “raise hand” feature to better manage participation in larger meetings. Meeting hosts have the ability to mute participants upon entering the meeting and to mute or unmute all participants at any time. Additional new features available in this release include whiteboarding, private messaging, more intuitive screen sharing and YouTube video sharing within the Wizyconf video pane with audio synced for all participants.
The new release of Wizyconf also supports up to 10,000 participants in broadcast mode, making it an ideal platform for hosting webinars and virtual company events. Because the platform is inherently web-based, participants outside the Wildix user organization are never required to download and install an app to access meetings or events.
