Zoom says it’s fixed a bug that appeared to leave a Mac’s microphone on after calls ended.
This isn’t the first time Zoom has said it’s fix that flaw, however, with The Register noting that a Dec. 27 update to the company’s native macOS app incorrectly claimed to have “resolved an issue regarding the microphone light indicator being triggered when not in a meeting.”
But macOS Monterey users continued to report that Apple’s microphone activity indicators—a green dot for when the mic is currently being used and an orange dot for when it was used recently—continued to appear in their system’s menu bar after a Zoom call had wrapped up.
