From Wall Street – Cisco – FY2018-Q3

Acquisitions, management shake-ups, and more …

Current Highlights

The highlights for FY2018-Q3 (the period ending April 28, 2018) are as follows:

Cisco started off the month of May 2018 with a three-part bang as outlined in its May 1 press release:

  • The company announced its intent to acquire Accompany, a privately-held firm that offers an AI-driven relationship intelligence platform for “finding new prospects, navigating the selling process, and strengthening relationships.” Accompany’s technology is likely to help Cisco accelerate feature and function integration across its collaboration portfolio, likely being integrated into WebEx meetings.
  • “Accompany Founder and CEO Amy Chang will join Cisco as senior vice president in charge of the Collaboration Technology Group,” and
  • “Rowan Trollope, current senior vice president and general manager of the Collaboration Technology Group, is taking the next step in his career and leaving Cisco to become the CEO at another company effective May 3.”

As they say, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
