AI in the Conference Room – Science Fiction or Real Job Threat?

At its root, artificial intelligence (AI) is the theory and development of computing systems that are able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence.

In truth, much of the hype today around AI is based on the assumption that any piece of software that outputs a response based on a pre-defined input is an example of artificial intelligence.  This is either bad marketing (not knowing the difference between what you say to be true and what you know to be true) or over-zealous marketing, but not real AI.  Some would call it pseudo-AI.
